This three-part live training series is designed to provide local governmental public health practitioners with knowledge and tools to help develop robust succession plans and demystify the succession planning process overall. The training covers an overview of succession planning in session one, a focus on the analysis phase in session two, and will conclude with a discussion on the strategy and implementation phases in the final session. The series consists of three 60-minute live sessions, along with three optional 30 minute office hours and asynchronous pre- and post- work. We recommend pairs from the same agency to attend together (e.g., one person in a workforce development or HR role, and one person in a health administrator role). Participants are also strongly encouraged to attend all three live sessions.
Note on Accessibility: This live session will have auto-transcription in Zoom. Slides will be provided prior to the session. The recorded on-demand version to follow will have closed captions as well. To request ASL interpretation and/or CART captioning, please email us within 2 weeks of the live training at rvphtc@umich.edu.
