This course provides participants with the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to prepare for creating an agency workforce development plan. Through a series of three one-hour webinars, participants will be introduced to the process of writing a workforce development plan (WDP). Upon completion of the course, participants will have a plan for developing their next WDP. This content is aligned with PHAB Standard 8.2: Ensure a competent workforce through the assessment of staff competencies, the provision of individual training and professional development and the provision of a supportive work environment, and Reaccreditation Measure 8.2:The health department’s workforce has the multidisciplinary skills needed for the health department to achieve its mission, goals, and objectives. This third recorded webinar in the series will address writing and implementing the plan, including drafting goals and objectives; aligning your workforce development plan with the other required PHAB documents; and what successful implementation looks like.
