This module will help public health departments understand the accreditation requirements and some of the documentation needs defined in the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) Standards and Measures. Even if you are not interested in pursuing public health department accreditation, the Standards and Measures provide a nice framework for best practices in performance management. And if your health department might be interested in applying for accreditation some time in the future, it is important to develop the system in accordance with the requirements and maintain appropriate documentation to serve as evidence for this work.

This training is part of a series, and we encourage you to explore the companion training, "Introduction to Performance Management in Public Health (Self Paced-CE)."
