Plan to Plan: Strategic Planning Series
A four-part webinar series to assist public health agencies with making a plan-to-plan (P2P) for writing a strategic plan.
This course provides agency-based teams tasked with leading strategic planning efforts within their agencies and/or communities with the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to prepare for strategic planning within their agencies. Through a series of four one-hour webinars, participants will be introduced to a seven-phase framework to guide strategic planning efforts. Upon completion of the course, participants will have a plan for conducting strategic planning in their agencies. The course is designed for both teams with strategic planning experience and those with no experience. This content is aligned with PHAB (Links to an external site.) Standard 5.3 (Links to an external site.): Develop and implement a health department organizational strategic plan and Reaccreditation Measure 5.3 (Links to an external site.): The health department is guided by a department strategic plan that is revised as the department priorities are achieved or adjusted.
Part 1
Introduction to Strategic Planning: Where do you want to go?
Part 1 will provide an overview of process & expectations for the webinar series; discuss the process for strategic planning; provide overview of the articulation of agency mission, vision, values.
While it is preferable to complete all 4 sessions in the series, participants do not need to do so in order to receive CE for a given webinar.
Audience
Public health professionals in all settings, including governmental public health, non-profits, health systems, etc. as well as across disciplines, whether health education, nursing, environmental health, leadership, etc.
